Everyday Comfort

My Jessie loves clean laundry...

My kitty Jessie is my best friend, my baby and my everyday joy. Her full name is Whispering Jessie, named after a John Denver song. She has been my companion and confidant for 15 1/2 years now and I hope she will be with me for many, many more. She understands me. She nurtures me. She worries about me when I am upset. She also seems to understand what I am saying to her, or maybe she just reads my mind. She is an amazing being. So beautiful and graceful even now as she grows older. So loving and trusting. I love her with all my heart. I don't know what my world would be without her, and I don't want to find out.

My sweet Jessie loves me.

Oh, sweet Jessie. I had a kitty like that once, Cheddar...he was orange, just like the cheese. He was an intuitive cat like your girl. He would talk to me and just exude peace when he was around. He also had the unusual quality of being peacemaker among all the neighborhood cats. Other cats would come from blocks away to hang out and lounge in the sun on our driveway with Cheddar. There was no territorial behavior or aggression - it was so unusual that other cats would pick up on his vibes. He got cancer when he was only 7 and I had to put him down. It was awful. I still miss him so.
Love the pictures of Jessie you posted. She's clearly your girl. :-)

Farmgirl said it all, but this time long before me.

Jessie is a very good kitty and I love her to.

It's hysterical watching you two talking kitty talk to each other and somehow you both understand exactly what the other means.

How many times have I seen Jessie do exactly what you asked her to do. I always thought it was very spooky, but now I know it's just two loving creatures that are totally in tune with each other.

Yeah, I have to say, Hardware Bob, I totally noticed and was quite surprised that you hadn't been there before me! Ah, the joy of being the 1st commenter! Don't I get a special prize or something now, Jen? :-)

Hi Danni,
Your Cheddar Cheese kitty sounded like he was very special. It must have been terribly sad for you when you lost him, especially so young and to such a horrible disease. Thank you for telling me about Cheddar.

Hi Bob,
Yes, Jessie is a very good, loving and trusting kitty. I am happy that you love her. She knows you care about her. I think she always understands me, but does not always do what I want her to do, as she also has ideas of her own. We are very much in tune.

Danni,
I will have to think about what special prize you should get for your prompt commenting! Give me a few days and I will surely come up with something creative.

I really do appreciate all of the comments I receive on this blog, and you two are my most loyal commenters. Thank you for being here for me.

I feel the same way about my two cats, Oreo and Javalina. I loved how you put it into words.

Your Jessie sounds like such a special companion.
