OMG PB&J Sandwich-gasm!

Peanut Butter & Apricot Jam on freshly made white bread

It was so good that I almost forgot to take a photo for you all. That was probably the best PB&J sandwich I have ever tasted.

I like this bread baking stuff. Gonna keep doing it.

Would that be homemade apricot jam too? Looks scrumptious to me!

Hi CA Grammy,
No, that was jam from Trader Joe's. Apricot-Orange with no added sugar. I haven't made homemade jam for quite awhile, and I am due.

I heard you met Hardware Bob in person today. Did you enjoy the restaurant he suggested to you? It's one of our favorites. Good food and good people.

Today I was lucky enough to be treated to lunch with the most scrumptious PB & J sandwich, compliments of our new homemade bread wizard, Farmer Jen.

The bread was perfect, firm yet light and airy with the most delicate sweet taste. Nestled between two heavenly slabs of delight was a generous slathering of natural peanut butter and jam.

It was somewhat embarrassing trying to keep my appreciation noises respectful, and also to a respectful level, while helping customers in my store. I was receiving the strangest looks, but then I was making the strangest snarfing noises. This was undoubtedly the best P B & J that I have ever consumed.

Good job Farmer Jen, I volunteer to be your test platform anytime. And, I believe from the smiles a few people in the store want the same thing I was eating.

Sandwich-gasm indeed.

A sandwich-gasm??? Really??!! You crack me up! You're also very brave to still be eating peanut butter right now. :-)
Of course, I, too, have continued to eat my TJ's organic peanut butter...I love Trader Joe's so much. If I weren't already married, I would marry Trader J. without hesitation. If he asked me, of course.

Hi Bob,
I am so glad you enjoyed the special PB&J sandwich that I had Jack deliver to you today. We all enjoyed a nice PB&J today on my homemade bread. Now the pressure is on for all my future loaves of bread to turn out as nicely as this one did.

Hi Danni,
Yes, really, a sandwich-gasm occurred right here in my kitchen today. I am usually not that fond of PB&J's, hardly ever craving them, but this one was truly wonderful. I always buy TJs peanut butter, and I am not so brave, as my current open jar and the extra one in my pantry, were purchased well before the current salmonella outbreaks. I love Trader Joe too, but not enough to marry.
