A Cool Breakfast

Apricot Ice Cream

Homemade apricot ice cream makes a wonderful breakfast on a hot day. Delicious, if I do say so myself. It turned out great, so I posted a photo as promised. I love the color.

Oooooh, you are really rubbing it in, aren't you? Gosh, that looks good. I don't think they even offer apricot ice cream in stores...you have a new flavor on your hands! HW Bob could sell it in his store! He could become IC Bob (ice cream Bob) now, too!

I need to do product testing of the ice cream before adding it to my inventory. At least a gallon or two will be required for testing purposes.

Yes, it does look very yummy and cool, especially with the outdoor thermometer reading about 107 right now.

This old building and the inadequate swamp cooler is not keeping up with it. But, apricot ice cream would surely help.

So, it's just a hunch, but I'm thinking that Bob would like some ice cream, Jen. :-)

My product testing is complete.

The apricot ice cream was very delicious, icy cold, rich and creamy with a perfect tangy apricot flavor. The color had an absolutely exquisite golden tan color.

The only criticism I have as a tester is that test sample was far too small.

Yeah, well, HW Bob, my sample was even smaller. :-)

Hi CA Grammy,
Your comment is wonderful to hear!

Hi Farmgirl DK,
Sorry, I don't mean to deprive you of ice cream, but I haven't figured out how to send you some yet. Every time I try to fit it in an envelope, it just melts and makes a big mess.

We have thought of selling some of our home made goodies at the hardware store, but are concerned that the price would be too high to cover our costs and still make a profit. That and the health dept regulations may get in the way. No commercial kitchen to make the food in, and that's a requirement around here.

Yes, Jack is back. He needed a little help with the comment process as Blogger can be tricky sometimes.

You are all very kind to praise my ice cream. This particular batch really did turn out well. Usually it is much icier than I prefer. I did however, hurt my wrist while digging out a portion for Bob to sample. (yes, leave it to me to sprain my wrist in an ice cream accident)I should have let it warm up at room temperature for a few minutes, but was impatient to have him taste my creation. Now I am paying for my impatience. Good thing I have a supply of my Sore Muscle Rub on hand. It will help my wrist pain.
